We weren't planning on buying that long of the trailer but there always has to be some kind of drama in all of our endeavors.
Our trailer has been showing signs of aging. This lot had a white 24' with 5200lb ea axle. I would never buy another trailer that is enclosed and 20' or bigger with 3500lb axles.
Anyways, we left Saturday at 4am headed for Georgia to get a 24'. At 8:30 we get a text saying that a driver backed into the trailer that we were going to buy. At this point we were going to be there in 2 hours. We continued on hoping we could get the 26 for the same price. We found out that the 26' trailer had 8" frame rails as opposed to 6" on smaller trailers.
After a lot of haggling we were within $50 of the 24' trailer price. We told them to put the $50 difference on the driver that backed into the trailer. I could go back and forth continuing the argument but we ended up getting it for the same price as the 24' with a spare tire too.
