I think the Camaro would be fun... FOR A WHILE. Sooner or later reality would set in and you'd wish for your truck back!

haha yea thats what my grandad told me.

BLACK02SILVERADO- i actually have a 67 already lol thats the main reason for a new one to have the first year producted and a new one lol

and DIETZ4IBANEZ - my stepdad just made a deal to do that because he wanted me to get something with a little better mpg otherwise i'm still on my own lol.

So you would have to make the payments and gas money for the truck or get the new Camaro with free payments as loon as you are in school and pay for the gas???

If this is so I would go for the Camaro even if I loved Fords to death. And I am a 100% truck guy!

I would keep the truck, when I get a car it will be when my Truck is paid off and I just want a DD.

yesthats my thoughts about the camaro too i know it's not that i can't afford the payments on the truck it's just i could save my money to pay off the camaro after 4 more years and get a new truck when i get out of school a a job. i'm sure with civil engineering i could afford it

IMO i would keep the truck and get a car once you graduate....just what I'd do. A new car is about 4x more expensive than paying off my truck

agreed in 4 years he'd probably only pay about half i'd still end up paying around what i owe now most likely. lol but idk yet just asking opinions i never been a car person anyways. i only like the 67 because it's an actual classic muscle car

How often do you "need" a truck?

I know everyone has different priorities. But, IMO, if you don't "need" a truck a lot, you can probably figure out other ways to do those "truck things." Friends. U-Haul. What have you..

If you're considering this for purely financial reasons, call your insurance company and verify how much of a difference in price there will be between your current F-150 and the V8 Camaro..

If you're looking at it as a means to save money for the future and if you don't "need" a truck a whole lot, I'd be inclined to say go for it. There are times to stand on your own two feet, take your lumps, and pay for everything yourself. And there are times when someone wants to be generous, help you, and the best thing to do is be appreciative and thank them for the help they can lend..

Only you can figure out which situation you're in right now.. :dunno:

Good luck!
