New Battery

Man I remember those days back in school. Never had enough money to fix shit right, battery was low on the priority list.

I was wondering if you were about to get beat up for buying a battery

I had to buy another one yesterday as well but I stuck with an Optima. It lasted about 4 years in the Texas heat and another 2 1/2 years out here in NC. It was only pumping out about 200 cranking amps after the parts place tested it. They put it on a quick charge and it came up to 500 cranking amps but I didn't want to push my luck so I bought the new Optima. The old one will now be my trolling motor battery for the Jon Boat.

My original Delco battery in my 07 took a dump after about 1.5 years. Shortly thereafter, the original Delco in my 99 (my sister had it at the time) took a dump, after about 9 years

I have had incredible luck with Delco batteries, even up here in the cold. The one in the Tahoe went 7 years, and the side post rotted off. Holding the post to the battery, the damn thing still started

I have seen 8 years out of my Delcos, and typically go at least 6 years, and I have had a lot of them.

Funny thing, though, I always go aftermarket and get an Interstate as a replacement.

Were their diets different? The one was clearly a fan of Chinese or Mexican.

Fred's Delco lasted 4 years. It probably would have gone a lot longer if the truck was driven more often. I put in a bazillion amp replacement from Johnson Controls.

I just put one of these in the '07 Tahoe. It's made by Johnson and has enough fiber in it to be good for any diet. Price ain't bad, either.
