What's in yours now? I thought you had a 5.7?

well a stock vortec makes like 255, so i would like about 300-325

i want to do a mild cam, all new bearings, seals, honed, new pistons, rings, port and polish intake, and a couple other things..

its no rush, altough i have a very annoying lifter tap, so i may end up robbing the intake manifold off the new motor, port and polish that, and put a new cam in and fix the lifters in my truck right now

You could massage 350 HP out of a 5.7 easily with a little head work, a set of headers, and a cam. COOL!

+1

350 should be pretty easy with the right cam and headers. Those heads are actually really good heads. It shouldn't take too much work.

Truck is looking great Riggs!

im probably going to go with a set of Summit shorty headers, cause of 2 things, they are cheap, and magnaflow makes a system with 2 downpipes, the crossover, 2 cats all out of stainless for like $350 so when my cats go it will be a easy upgrade..
