after looking at it me and my dad discovered it was bent...

so with a 4"x4" peice of scrap tube and a 20ton jack we unbent it and didnt even scratch the paint ok well just a little on the leaf spring perches

after it was unbent i was able to get the brake block out without twisting or braking the lines

and just a couple pics with old tires and rims to roll it under the truck tomorrow

btw its within about a 1/32" from the axle tube by housing to the outside by the side plate.

if its off its going to be a whole lot less than what the front of my truck it, and if its really that bent for $150 i can have a job adjust it with there machine

Good job Riggs. Glad you saw the bend before you installed it. You should be good to go.

take 2 shock bolts out - 5 min
take u-bolts off with the most powerful ingersol rand 1/2 impact - 5 min
take out parking brake lines 5-10 min
take brake block off cut lines if needed - 5 min
bleed brakes - 20 min

Add another half hour. Something will be rusted together. Probably the last bolt you need to get off, but it'll still probably kick your ass.

There's always "that one bolt..."

:withstupid::withstupid: Something always doesnt want to let go.

everything went perfect actually i started at around 5:45, and was in the shower at 8:45 so less than 3 hours, my dad helped me the whole time though so it went a lot faster.

my speedometer was 5mph off for the first test run right when i got it done, then i adjusted the gear ratio with my programmer but was unsure of the tire height and was 2mph off, and now its 0-1 mph which is perfect for me. and that is according to my gps.

here are the pics:
