Need some input please!!!!

Hey guys, I need some help/suggestion on what to make/buy to keep the rain water from filling the bed area of my truck up. The rain water is causing the cover to sag and fill with water, I had a hot tub in the back today. I to lift the truck cover and dropped the tail gate down to let all the freaking water out...dang we have had some heay rain here today!!!

Any suggestions on what to do??? Thanks

Run some supports on the top of the bed rails and put a piece of plywood on top.

Thought about that, but I have smoothed and painted bed caps, don't want to mess them up

You can always attach some weather stripping to the underside of the supports to prevent scratching.

The only one I really like is a roll n lock type cover, but I don't want to spend a grand on one

Nah, I live in a deed restricted community, they won't allow them

build a stand out of wood.. and get a nice sheet of ply wood that is even or a bit higher than the bedsides.
