The intake is installed, but I don't know where to hook the hose (smells like oil) that came off of the stock intake.

The hose that came off of the stock intake is suppose to be thrown away. (at least thats how it was with my airaid). Thats what I am saying, there should have been a rubber hose to replace that.

That hose on mine HAD 3/8" rubber attached to that plastic piece you have pictured. I just reattached it to the stock plastic piece, but it appears your is one solid piece.

Just get 1' of rubber tubing from the auto parts store and you are set, it is the same as my '09 6.0, and there is just a small clip holding it onto the manifold.

My Volant came that way, with 12 inches of 3/8" rubber hose

Like Scott said, grab a piece of hose and you'll be squared away!

Holy crap! I got so frustrated with this god damn thing.

I went to Lordco, and bought a temporary hose.

Scott, are you sure the size of your hose is 3/8"? Looks like I'll just buy that.

Here's my temporary solution until I get a 3/8" hose.

Why so frustrated, it's just a hose. :dunno:

It's not like the intake didn't fit. Sometimes there are little differences like this between models. Get some hose and all will be good to go!
