I personally think the new rule change is stupid, and sucks donkey balls. :fume:

I could see people for years saying, "Yeah, well, so and so never would've won one if it wasn't for these new rules."

IF they're going to do this, I think they should make the last race of the year at a track that they actually race at more than ONCE a dang year. Finish the year in Vegas, where they have the awards ceremony or something.. :dunno:

If they wouldn't have changed it to what it is now, JJ wouldn't have 6 championships.

They may as well take the chase out completely, and at the end of the season take the so called best 16 points leaders and let them run the last race on a figure 8 track. A no holds barred winner take all kind of deal. :jester:

I haven't looked at how the points usually play out from the beginning of the Chase to who wins. But, it "seems" like usually only the top 5 (when the Chase starts) run well enough for that last ten races to have a shot at the title. So, I don't see what adding four more is going to do. Seems like fake drama. :dunno:

As for JJ's numbers. I bet whatever system NASCAR comes up with, Chad will figure out a way to win in it.

Two of the main reasons I've lost so much interest in nascar. I used to be a diehard, never miss a race kind of fan. :dunno:

The only ones I even TRY to watch are the ones they still show on Fox, NBC, ABC, and CBS. I'm not going to get cable or spend $$ eating / drinking out just to see the ones they put on the cable networks.

If NASCAR wants to limit their audience to only cable networks for those other races, I'm not going out of my way to watch their "product." :pfingers:

You can't never hear the announcers on ESPN, so I very seldom watch those. That's not just nascar, that is everything they broadcast. :dunno:

Even when I had cable or satellite, I hardly ever watched ESPN. "Most" of the time, it seemed to be the same junk being repeated over and over again. :dunno:

That goes for the new networks, too. When I first setup my home office in here, I had a DirecTV box hooked up to an HDTV. I figured I would try to stay on top of the news more.

Nope! Not really! I found out more online than I did "watching" the news. The news networks either have talking heads making sensationalist comments, trying to get ratings OR you have the "news desk" repeating the same stuff every 30 minutes. There's not much value in either of those for me.
