I didn't even watch the race. I guess I mopped up the basement this week.

LOTS of tire issues this week. There was a caution as they were coming to the white flag and dang near EVERYONE pitted, for fear of tires blowing out.. It was kind of an edge-of-the-seat race, seeing who was going to win it.

Better than most Fontana races, IMO, even with the tire issues.. :dunno:

I saw maybe 45 minutes of it while I was at my parents house, and there were tire issues in that span. My interest in NASCAR seems to be slipping away. :uhoh: :dunno:

Apparently, this was the first time in a long while that Fontana sold out. They were selling "standing room only" tickets at two gates, according to what I read online. :dunno:

I'm kind of in agreement with you, though.. I don't plan to even look for the races online this year, after Fox quits airing their races. If it's not on regular broadcast TV, screw 'em!

It used to be a big thing with me and my BIL. We'd watch every race Fox had, and then a certain few the rest of the season. Now, it's just Daytona and The Brickyard. Hell, one year, The Brickyard was so boring that we both fell asleep.

I think I've kinda gotten to the point of watching it because it's on -- kinda like watching the Cowboys. I did kinda enjoy seeing the race wind-down, though, and see how guys who had taken a little better care of their tires (not JJ) lasted long enough to get the caution and make a strong run to the end.

After June 1, it looks like the only races I'll probably see will be Bristol, Richmond, and Charlotte. :dunno:
