Draenor
KILL ALL HUMANS!!!!
Clancy's idea was my first thought too.damn thats a problem? My Tahoe does that since I bought it. I thought it was normal.
It's apparently normal for some of the full size trucks... But supposedly wasn't an issue with the S-Series
you know what you should try? pull your starter relay turn your key to the crank position and see if it still makes that noise, kinda sounds like the mechanisim the locks the wheel in position with the key off... just a thought i had....![]()
Didn't help anything...
After paying more attention... There is some play... So I'm thinking the rag joint
It's that, or the worm gear in the steering box![]()
It could be the intermediate shaft, since you state it does happen over bumps. This only occurs at the top of the rotation of the steering wheel, no other time?
First think you can try is removing the lower half of the shaft and coat it in grease. While your in there you can inspect the rag joint. Re-install and see if it is still occurring.
