Personally, I don't care if it's a good investment or not, and neither do they. I just want to see the damn thing get built.

Stop trying to discourage them! :D

when you get the truck, put a plastic cup on the hood and take a pic of the truck so i know its real :)

also wtf would you spend $90,000 on a truck that is going to be worth $30,000 when your done doing everything to it?? such a waste, if this money is being given to you i would save it for when you need it down the road you never know whats going to happen, im all for bad ass trucks and its your money but wow that is a lot of money to spend / potentially waste on a truck

What does a plastic cup prove? For all intensive purposes anything the money is spent on it will be wasted...

You said that her dad wants y'all to be responsible with the money, how in $90k on a truck responsible?

He is all for having whatever you want if you can afford to...no matter how frugal. He has all of his bills paid so he chooses to "waste" his money on his competition bass boat, 20+ thousand dollar rods/reals and his 2 custom iron horse choppers.

Also...it was her grandfather's dying request for my wife to "spend it on whatever makes her happy" quoted directely from the will...and her father wont stand in the way of that...especially since we are spending the remaining portion on a home and land...

Personally, I don't care if it's a good investment or not, and neither do they. I just want to see the damn thing get built.

Its all good...I bet if they had an extra 90k laying around and home, car, land already paid for they would do the same...

I mean...i could just squander it on boo's, cocaine, and pussy

I do have a home, car and truck...all paid for..."AND" I could write a check for the 90K for a custom truck...but no way "WOULD" I.

I am not critisizing you and I kinda understand about the money being left to your wife from Grandpa...but...

Uunless you are really rich, I think it is foolish to spend that kind of money on a silly truck that will barely be drivable on the street when it could be put to so much greater use.

Ok..I will not say anything else about it.:D
It is really none of my business and I honestly and sincerely hope, you and your wife enjoy it very much.
