I think 8 speeds is overkill honestly. It is more of a marketing gimmick than a functional item. I can hear it now:

"My truck has 2 more gears in the transmission than yours, so it must be better." (Even though it won't stay in the highest 2 on the highway with a 2mph headwind)

I dunno about that, it all depends on their execution, I'm kind of preferential to 18.

im with a 7 but 8 is just too much

30 mph per gear for the first 5 gears is gona be hell of a blast to drive/race/climb dunes

this beast has a 7 speed with a 400hp 5.6L vq motor with direct injectoin,vvt AND VVEL

yeah u have more cars/trucks that we want them to sell here

they even dont offer a 6.0 or a 6.2 in the dealership as an option eather you go denali or go 5.3 wih halftons and same for HDs no duramax
