Ok, 1992 GMC Yukon 5.7 700r4. So, lately while driving it does not seem to want to up shift to 4th until about 55mph+ where as before it would shift around 45. Also tonight I tried racing a 300c for fun on the freeway and when the trans would down shift the RPMs red lined and I had no real forward push(hope that makes sense). Any ideas, more info 200,000+ miles.

With that many miles and if it has never been serviced I would say it is at the end of its life. How cold has it been out there? I take it the fluid level is good and the color is as well?

MAYBE.

I'd do a fluid change on the off chance of some improvement... I have seen high milers react well to new fluid. Especially true if the old gummy goop is causing sticky shifts.

You could also be fucked.

But the change is a good gamble versus replacement of the unit.

Check/adjust the TV cable.

Although, if it's out of adjustment and you were dogging on it, it's probably toast anyways.
