Goodyear Wrangler ST's suck.

Especially when worn out.

I need new tires before winter...

I've narrowed it down to three choices....

Michelin LTX M/S2

Michelin LTX A/T2

Firestone Destination A/T

Bridgestone Dueler A/T REVO2

The M/S2 is only 3lbs heavier than the factory tires in the 113S

So there won't be a loss in fuel mileage...

I'll be getting the same load ratings as the factory tires, since it saves a couple bucks.

fWONk I hate picking tires

I'll probably have to buy two at a time, but that's not so bad... As long as I get one pair on before winter.

Though, the M/S2's 121 weight rating tire has a "low rolling resistance" label on it... But the tire is also a fair bit heavier.

Which of those would be better for fuel mileage? :dunno:

Finding mud tires is WAY easier than road tires

Man, I miss 15" rims... 4 tires was the same price as 2!

I had a set of Michelin LTX M/S (not M/S2) on the Sierra. They had about 45k on them with plenty of life left, were quiet, and didn't hurt mileage. I got Michelin LTX A/T2s put on the Jeep last week and so far I really like them, a little louder than the Latitudes that came on it but mileage seems unaffected. I didn't go M/S this time because I wanted something a little more aggressive but not overly so. The Destination A/Ts were also in the running but it's hard to get Firestones around here so the Michelins won out. You know if you want a black sidewall you can just turn the tire around right?

Not all tires have that option :dunno:

I didn't know of these did or not, lol, I know the BFG A/T's are like that, but my bosses Michelin's on her truck are OWL on both sides

I'll have to wander in to Costco tomorrow, and see if they have any in stock... Check if they come with the mountain/snowflake symbol, otherwise some roads in BC, I'm not allowed on

That's crazy! I've never seen any tire with OWL on both sides...maybe a Canada thing, eh?

My truck has the Firestone Destination AT's on it. They did well in the snow when I drove it (2 winters). There is no road noise and I'm getting good wear out of them (I can do the math if you'd like since they haven't been on the truck all the time). I'm consistently between 15-16mpg mixed driving; low of 11 towing at 70mph and a high of 20 at 60mph empty. Overall, a great tire for my needs.

I checked prices on them when I got the truck, they were around $125/tire locally. $500 all said and done is a great price!

The cheapest around here was $908 for the Firestones... Only one shop had them in stock at the time
