Mod ideas for 2010 F150

I'm actually not too concerned with the material... aluminum would work as with pretty much any steel. I'm even good with a composite material that has a good fiber and resin. A lot of the "high quality steel" stuff is basically marketing from the companies.

I hear ya, I was trying to point out the quality manufacturing rather than the material itself. Think the difference in feel between cheap imported parts and OEM parts.

I hear ya... that's pretty much what i was looking for; build quality. If its just a machined plate then its not really a big deal... but when you start talking about a welded assembly, then i want to make sure i get a kit that's been used by a lot of people to make sure they have their manufacturing process figured out

hellbentsteel.com if its 2.5 or 3 inch leveling kit ... 69 bucks shipped... takes about an hour and a half to install...

what im really wanting right now is tow mirrors ...

My buddy just ordered some 18" XD Spy wheels and 285/75/18 Toyo ATs... it's going to be saaawwwwwweeeeeeeettt

I think he's going to leave the center caps off like mine, they look better that way..

Not sure what leveling kit he ordered.. just said it should be here in time for me to install it when he comes home March 4th

Finished everything up this weekend. Came out great. We put on the 2" Rough Country kit. Sorry, not before/after measurements.

Looks good. Good call NOT leaving off the center caps. That always results in a "something is missing" look.

Yeah, they looked better 'on' on his truck.

They're too big and gaudy on my jeep though... I think stepping up to the 18" wheel really helped out. They just dont look right on my 17" wheels.

.......I guess it's hard to tell even with those pictures... but the center caps stick out further than the tires and they're the flashy plastic/chrome so it just looks strange. I guess his being 9" wide with less backspace help too since mine are only 8" wide and more backspace, so it just makes the caps stick out.

Not to offend but I think they look a lot better on the Jeep. Without them, it looks like something fell off.

That truck needs some meatier tires, those look small with the big wheels.
