Great job Dan! So what would you have had to do different if you used the stock grille?

I would have had to spend a LOT more time sanding down the textured plastic, then shooting it with filler primer, then sanding, then more primer... You get the idea.

I just hope everything sticks to the chrome alright, but I don't see why it wouldn't.

Don't ignore me, Dan.

My hubs want to be bald, they said you told them it's comfy.

Some horribly disgusting photos. I think my driveway might have the worst lighting on the planet, every picture I've taken in it looks like dogshit.

I'll get some better ones on my way home from work.

Truck looks awesome dude!

Interested in a new lower valance? I think I may have one and if you want it I will get it to you for the cost of shipping...

Wait!

Do the hubs stick through and beyond the face of the wheel?

When I said caps, I meant the little ones that snap in and sit flush with the face of the wheel, not full-on big-ass center caps.

Those shots are the first ones I've seen that actually make it look like the hub protrudes.

:dunno:

Looks good. Did you use any adhesion promoter? I scuffed my chrome, hit it off with adhesion promoter then self etching primer just to make double sure it didn't flake.

No, no adhesion promoter. I've had good luck in the past with this method, hopefully it holds up.

Brian, thanks for the offer, but this one's fine for now, I'm just going to rattle can it black.

Tobias, yeah the fronts stick out, the backs don't. The fronts will look fine once they're painted black, the rears though I might make something out of aluminum to clean it up a little, but we'll see how it looks just sprayed black first.
