Camping is a big deal down here. A lot of people have campers. There are a lot of campgrounds around me. I dont camp, but have looked at some campers. The tear drop campers are a nice very small camper, but tend to be expensive. I'l bet you could buy a small camper cheaper than a tear drop, and be a lot more comfortable. maxresdefault.jpg Armadillo-trailer-Canada.jpg img3152951f2a612588bf.jpg

I'm leaning towards this more though. I am still looking around and trying to decide. I just don't know where I would keep the small trailer since where I live. There isn't a lot of room on my street. I could try to ask my parents if I could park it on their street but I am not sure. LOL

There you go. The issue of parking is real, I had mentioned this when you were kicking it around the first time. Start out small! Nothing wrong with that.
It took years for us to get to where we are, now. We are life long campers :)
We tent camped from the time we were dating, until we were 30ish, and the bears in Alaska were licking thier chops over our son, then we got a truck camper :)

And then there's my family...we rented a pop-up for a weekend 3 years ago, bought a 33 foot toy-hauler 2 years ago, and traded for 39 foot 5er this year. The addiction can be a slow burn, or a damn wildfire ;)

I like the idea of a rooftop tent on my truck.

Any of you guys have recommendations on racks for rooftop tents?

I was thinking about the RCI but I don’t know if I would be able to keep my cover that rolls up when I want to open it.

There is a pop-up tent that attaches to your truck if you want to camp literally with your truck
