It was a PITA .. Swapping my boat from the old style engine to the new style... It wasnt real bad .. I made it pretty easy by growing a set of nuts... And splicing 2 wiring harness together lol... And Then i could run my old style controls... And didnt have to change out the complete boat wiring... Checking over wire schematics for hours... And then crossing fingers.. Fired right up...
We took it out for a couple hours last night.. And never had one problem... My old 150 would leave this one sittin on the line.... But this one has more topend... I forgot to bring my GPS .. So i dont know how fast it runs... My other engine would push it between 60 and 64...But that was Beyond max RPM... Im hopeing this motor will run close to 70 .... Not that i want to run that.. I just want my 40 to 50 mph RPMs lower... This motor has a brand new 23 pitch prop ... And i had a 21p
