So why are you putting money into your DD. Save it for the Silverado.
This isn't my DD. Its my winter truck (which is even worse for adding parts to it). Basically if I continue the time frame I had this last year, the Silverado gets driven 7mo and the S10 5mo.So why are you putting money into your DD. Save it for the Silverado.

There's something dripping on the driver's side near the wheel/frame. I haven't checked it yet, but I'm hoping that's not the case. If it is, it would explain why it is being hard to start.Which headlights do you guys think would look the best?

Keep in mind that these lights will be below them.

This guy appears to have either #1 or #2 installed. His cut-off line is really nice! In the thread I found them in, he never mentions the brand, but that they are from eBay.
I'm leaning towards #1 or #2.
Figured out what is leaking....rubbed my fingers in it and smelt it. Its gear oil.Don't forget you can always drill the hole in the other ones for the fog lights
What do you mean? Drill a hole in some aftermarket ones that AREN'T designed for fogs?
IIRC types 1, 2, and 3, use 9005s and 9006s, type 4 is the chrome version of what I had, the low beam starts as H1's
Well, then I'll definitely narrow it down to 1, 2, 3 because I already have 9005 and 9006 HIDs.
The driver's side seal on the front diff is leaking.

That's what I'm leaning towards right now.
Thanks! This summer I'm really planning on concentrating on fixing up the bed and rear bumper. Fix the dent and rust spots on the bed, use some DupliColor Bed Armor on the inside of the bed and maybe the underside, and bed-line the rear bumper (I'd like to eliminate all the plastic covers on the bumper; mostly because they trap moisture/snow/salt).Congrats on the new truck! Some little things & paint will make it look great.![]()
So in other words I should just stick with what I got (standard turn signals and aftermarket "fogs" mounted on the bumper). Maybe I'll just do that; save the money and dinking around with the BCM to get the factory fogs to work, and get better looking turn signals to match the headlights.Figured out what is leaking....rubbed my fingers in it and smelt it. Yes, you can put the light socket in the aftermarket fogs...
Didn't know you could add specific sockets (not the wiring harness) to a lens like that.
FYI, though, those factory fog lights are USELESS.![]()
Thanks Nick.#1
Nice find Matt.![]()
This one is made by the same company that makes the headlights. The description says "chrome" not smoked.
