When they start selling it on shelves I might try it. Until then it's too easy to buy mobil 1 everywhere I go.

I understand that. But around here there are a lot of local dealers if I can't get my oil from Nick quick enough. Plus, the oil and filter are guaranteed for 1 year or 25,000 miles.

Not to mention, Robert has the benefit of being able to pick it up at the distribution center. So he gets it at a super low price since there isn't any freight involved.

Well yeah, when you think about it, I do a ton of online business so it would be nothing to buy a case.

The problem I have is I just can't see how it's any better than comparable oils, such as mobil 1. I have pictures from a few months ago whe a buddy and I opened up our high mileage 5.3's. Same year truck, almost same mileage, but I used mobil 1 and he Dino. The difference was amazing, my internals were spotless, especially when compared to his.

I'm sure amsoil would be the same, but it's just not enough reason for me to switch. Another thing I can't get over is the mileage warranty.

Call me crazy but I change my mobil 1 and filter every 4-5,000 miles, regardless. No way I would ever feel comfortable running any oil past 10, let along 25k miles.

I'm not bashing the product, just voicing my thoughts. On why I haven't switched yet.

That reminds me... im due for an order.

PS: I don't care if the stores around me have Amsoil or not... When i order from Nick it's usually shipped faster than it would take me to drive to the store and back

I change my oil every 5k too. That's why im order the new Amsoil OE oil... it's meant to be changed at manufacturers recommended intervals

I won't go to 25,000 either. I know I am supposed to be able to, but...

I will go close to 10,000 which is about a year for me.

Matt hit it on the head, the new OE is priced right at $5.50 a qt retail which is pretty comparable to Mobil 1.

What oil do you use in your race car and how often do you change? One of the main reasons I use M1 is because I grew up around family using it in their dragsters...

We run valvoline racing oil 20W-50. I change it every 2 to 3 races when I am spraying it.
