I agree with your take Tobias. I was not going to do it... but stuff has changed. I have my Miata sold and have decided to make my truck my project toy.
I've always liked the look and a couple of my local friends have been on me to do it... I guess I just finally got convinced.

I think a 3/5 would look sick on there and still be practical.
Any performance goodies or just looks for now?

Well. I am going to install my G80 and 3.73 gears. Also want to re-engineer my exhaust system a bit. Selling the Miata because I just don't have room for all of these damn vehicles and the truck is going to become my project toy. At least this way it gets used for something! I thought about selling it... but dammit, it's paid for and needs to be a toy.
I'm even considering losing the shell and going with a Gaylord style bed cover.
I'm considering a lot of options now that I want to go this direction.

That will be my last item for consideration. I think it might be cool with the shell... just because I like to be different (and it's damn handy in a RegCab truck.

I think the shell needs to stay at this point. I think you are right and the uniqueness needs to stay.
