When my lil brother had a GMT400 he put a lot of 2000 NBS parts on it. The front seat and mirrors I helped him with. To fit the Mirrors a lot of sanding and grinding was involved on the mirror base itself. Then we had to drill new mounting holes in the door. They were not heated or signal mirrors though. And no I have no pics. This was all Pre Katrina in New Orleans. I lost a LOT of pictures in Katrina. Actually the only pictures that survived the flood were some of the framed pics hanging high on the walls.

I have the streetscene cal-vues.Quality wise they are very good. Viewing on a larger/longer truck...Not so good. They give me a nice view of the side of my Suburban.
I put a 4" blind spot mirror on my driver mirror to make useable. For me it was a matter of ashetics, so I must comprimise.

Well, I guess I'll need to find that thread about someone making their own signal. What they did was buy a single strip of LED, cut to length, and then mount it on the bottom-outside corner of the mirror in an "L" shape. It was pretty cool and very discreet.

I really don't want smaller mirrors.

I can't find the thread that I wanted (at all!), but I did find a thread on doing this on a Malibu (here).

This is what I'm thinking of doing EXCEPT for using only the 4 LED's that are in the bottom outer corner and using red LED strip.

I have never been able to take apart my mirror and then re-assemble it. Anyone done this?

Looks kind of cheesy imo. I'd say just PTM the mirrors and leave em. :dunno:
