Cool man. Hey, what are they using the deadfalls for?

ALso, you hiked 10 miles in that??

I get tired walking through our national preserve trails after like 1 mile lol.

Of course that's a LOT more scenic than anything we have, I'd walk 10 miles too lol.

The last wind storm we had knocked down alot of trees. People are going out and cutting up firewood without getting a permit. Permits are $50 and you can pull out 8 cords per year. But some are cheating the system.

I went about 15 miles on the service road until I got to the slide zone. Parked and then hiked up to the ice packs. That's another 5 miles up, so 10 miles total. But I kinda got caught in the dark and coming back was slower.

Hmmm. Who owns that land that anyone could get firewood out of it? State?

$50 for a potential 8 cords is cheap!

It's the Baker Snowqualmie National Forest, so the DNR?? They section off the forest and you can collect tops, trunks, or dead fall. They have alot more areas open this year due to the wind storm.
