so some of you may know that i am building a new roof rack for my truck and eventually for my jeep, on the front of each light rack i want to put 5 lights but im not sure which type to put....i already have 4 of the regular ones in the front of my truck on a light bar
i already have 4 of these on the light bar

i was thinking about doing 2 on the outside and 3 of these on the inside part

the thing about these lights are that they are not a spot light, they are the ones that spread out to a line

but im not sure, what kind of a combination you guys and girls think i should do?!

anyones and everyones opinion would help!

and i was thinking about some reserve lights like this but one of my great friends promised me he would get me some so i am waiting on those :)
something like these

Well it really depends on the kind of light you want. The 4 I have behind my grill cover a wide area, they're staggered so they're not on top of each other, and they emit a wide pattern. Since you'll be mounting them high on a roof rack, you can get a great range of illumination wherever you want, which usually is depicted by the purpose. For crawling, you'll want light fairly close to the vehicle, and if you're trailing then you'll want light much further away. If you're trailing mainly straight then keep the light close forward but if you expect turns, then it would be helpful to spread them. Spots are really only good if you can move them around, like the pillar spots. Wide beams are better suited for offroading if they are going to be mounted fixed.

Here is how I would have it set up, (W) (S) (W) (S) (W). The middle wide beam would reinforce your head lights directly forward, the two spots would hit the corners and spread from there and the outer wide beams would help illuminate your forward peripheral vision. That way you get the best of the whole window.
