i really think steve letarte made a bad call, he should have had dale jr go for it not saving fuel because he had plenty. he was scared because of what happened last week. he was catching brad a second a lap, he woulda passed him on the last lap.

I was watching the Jr in-car... When it was going on, I thought Letart should've left him on the track at least another lap. Hamlin pitted a lap or two before Letart had been saying he wanted to come in... I think he should've stuck to his original game plan.

As it was winding down, I did feel like he should've had Jr putting more pressure on Brad, though... "Make" Brad push harder and run out of gas to give himself a better shot to win.. But, he didn't do it.

As it turned out, Jr. came on the radio as they crossed the finish line "fuel pressure just went to zero." So, I do think Letart was right to have him conserve, there at the end..

But, if Jr. had come in a lap or so later, he would've had more fuel and could've maybe pushed Brad more...

Lots of ifs... At least he finished 2nd!

i musta missed jr running outta gas, but it didnt really seem like he saved a bunch either when he was running hard to try to pass hamlin. i thought he coulda waited a couple more laps to come in. but i guess i cant argue with a second.

Yeah.. I thought they were going to stay out at least another lap or two to give themselves some cushion in case of a green-white-checkered.. :dunno:
