Yes they are pretty bright. Not quite as bright as the camera makes it seem, but pretty dam bright. Bright enough that you can see them lit in broad daylight. And about the resistor value, I have no clue how to fugure out the right value. All I know is on Ozniums website, they have the resistors listed depending on what color your LED is. I bought blue LED's, so I also bought the resistors they say will work on the blue LED's.

:withstupid:

IIRC, isn't the light dimmed with the normal cluster dimmer?

Actually, they are not. All the lights on the dash, including the radio and AC controls all dim with the cluster, but not the door switches. I didn't find that out till after I installed them. If you don't like them quite that bright, you don't have to put an LED under each switch like I did. I actually wanted them very bright. You could try positioning them differently and see how it looks. But I thought every way besides the way I did it was way too dim.

Or you could use a higher value resistor if you wanted them dimmer.:dunno: I beleive those are 470 ohms that they sent me.

I think it's a cool mod myself. The LEDs look bright in the pics but I bet the nice glow they give off looks great at night.

Nice mod. I am gonna add some to my truck and boat. As a general rule you can run four led's in series and you don't need the resister. They don't draw much current so you can also run a bunch in parallel. Good work. Thanks for posting.

I heard it was 3. :dunno: I tried it by running 3 in series and they burned up in less than 4-5 minutes of being on. I was pissed because I had already mounted them in the switches already too:fume:. Then I decided to just use a resistor on each one, for good measure. :D
