Looky what Mr. FedEx driver brought me today. My new KYB MonoMax shocks. Now for the install.
Tools
22mm impact to remove wheels
21mm impact socket and combo wrench to remove rear shocks and bottom mount front shocks
15mm to remove factory front shock top mount nut
14mm to install new KYB top front mount nut
1/2" air wrench, makes it easier to accomplish the task not really necessary to have.
Next get the vehicle up off the ground.
Remove old shock.
Install new shock
Once the rear are done then move to the front and accomplish same thing.
Here is where my camera messed up and the new front shock picture isn't here. Sorry about that.
Once they are all installed, you may as well rotate the wheels since it is up off the ground. Then lower it down and torque your wheels per you owners manual. In my case it was 140lbft.
There you are done.
Side note, my original shocks had 98k on them and after I took them off they still have some life left in them, didn't really see much of a difference between them and the KYB's really. Also I noticed that the KYB's were about an inch shorter. I had to lift up on the axle and front wheels to get them to mount. Thought that was strange. These are the correct application for my truck, did several searches online before I bought and all pointed to the ones I have. Interesting.
