A quick pic on my way back from the dealer this evening.

DSC03269lg.jpg

After taking that picture, I went down a twisty road I like driving. As I was starting to figure out how much I could push the car, I came around a curve and I saw a couple of people standing on the side of the road, pulling on something.

A pickup was on the right side of the road and their boat & trailer was off the left side of the road, in the bushes & trees. Come to find out, they had JUST taken their boat out for their first spin on the lake and was headed back home, when the trailer came loose and the boat ended up off the road, in the bushes / trees. I helped them get it back up on the road before coming back home.

Good looking car!

Thanks!

I've already ordered some "pet seat covers" for the back seat for Anna. As I was getting ready to trade the Outback in, I noticed how much her claws had frayed some parts of the back seat. :uhoh:

Well do you still like it......:dunno:

Yeah. I doubt that will change. It's a good, well-built car. That's not to say there won't be issues. There very well could be. But, I'm going to be a lot more meticulous about taking THIS ONE to the dealership every time there's an issue.

Tomorrow marks six weeks since Subaru told the dealership to order the parts. They called earlier and left a voicemail to let me know the parts were in. "Please call us so we can schedule you bringing you car in."

I think I'll leave 'em hanging for a few days...............

I was moving through traffic earlier and got on it to pass someone, thinking like I have in every other vehicle I've driven. "As I accelerate, it'll accelerate faster (to an extent) and I'll get there before that hole closes up."

Yeah, I need to rethink that a little. The CVT doesn't work that way.

Once it gets into its powerband, there isn't any "winding it up to get more power." It just stays in that high RPM range and keeps accelerating at that rate until you let off and it changes ratios again.

That CVT seems like it would take some getting used to.
