I'll bet it's quieter too :D

Not as quiet as I would've thought.. But, it's livable.

The quietest, smoothest riding car I've driven recent was a Kia Cadenza. I was real close to buying one of those. But, I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much money on a Kia!

Actually, an uncle of mine just bought one and my dad drove it (briefly) a few days ago. He said he thought it was nice. :dunno:

I'm going to hit the sack. You guys have a good evening!

I don't blame you for getting rid of it. Have your read about others that might have had this same issue? Did they ever get it resolved.

I did have a similar issue with the Aurora. I bought the car with these Bfgoodrich tires, the car would vibrate like crazy above 60 mph. I needed to get the car inspected and my brother found a new set of the same tire at work and threw them on the car. Thinking that since the virbating was still there that it had to be a balancing/alignment issue. There is a TSB on it as well but it recommended alignment and if it doesn't fix the problem that the solution would most likely be replacing the lower control arm.

Well, the weekend before last we bought a stealth that had nice tires on it and after market wheels. Threw them on the olds and no more vibration. :dunno:

Yep, most of the people complained a lot earlier than I did. They went through HELL initially, getting Subaru to do ANYTHING about it. There were multiple revisions of the TSB and the "process" became more defined. So, it became "easier" to get them dealt with.

But, for whatever reason, most dealers don't seem to want to deal with the repairs.. They try to write it off as "a driving characteristic of the vehicle" or some other non-sense. (I dealt with that at around 12k miles on mine.) It wasn't until about 8k miles or so ago that mine seemed to get quite a bit WORSE. So, I started making noise. Eventually, Subaru agreed to goodwill the parts & labor. All the dealer had to do was order the parts and do the work.

Then, all the waiting began. :dunno:

I hope it stays vibration free for you!

I hope so too! I'm at 163k right now, though...
