Wow! The accords are starting to have some attractive body lines! Congrats!

Thanks! I've been kinda eye-balling the new Accords since they came out with this bodystyle.. I found a place that did discounted, no haggle pricing. They offered $3k more for the Outback than the Chevy dealership did AND it was almost $1k cheaper than the particular Cruze I was looking at (even with my GM discount :uhoh:). So, I opted for the better, bigger, nicer car.

You liked the Cruze? Was it even comfortable? I know a lot of people that liked them until they test drove them. I haven't touched one so I don't have a clue.

I think it had 8 miles on it when I first got in it. I need to call Dr Bob's clinic to see if they have room to board Anna this week. I think I'm going to put some road miles on it.

Nice car... and some road miles would be good for it...

I'll answer this in multiple parts.

You liked the Cruze?

Not particularly, no. I was thinking about it PURELY as a commuter car that would get good fuel economy. I was looking at the Cruze Diesel.

Was it even comfortable?

It would've been ok going back & forth to work. I would NOT have been happy with it on a long road trip. No way. No how!

I know a lot of people that liked them until they test drove them. I haven't touched one so I don't have a clue.

Well, back to the first thing I said, it was purely going to be a commuter for me. If they had offered me reasonable money for the Outback, I would've brought the Cruze home as a basic commuter to run tons of miles up on, going back & forth to work.. and I would've immediately (probably before this weekend) gone out and bought something more fun / better for long-haul drives.

I still MAY do that second part. But, I doubt it will be as urgent of a desire with this car as it would've been with the Cruze.

I was seriously thinking about a Kia Cadenza. I liked how it rode and rove and all the "stuff" it had on it. I felt it was a good value. But, the looks were lacking, IMO. :dunno:
