Maybe tomorrow, certainly next weekend and the headed to Ride Royal Blue Nov 8-10.

It gets filthy when it gets.

How was that anyways?

Good times! About 90 miles over two full days with lots of beer and good friends!

I'm upgrading the stereo in the Wrangler so I'm curious to see how you like those Polk speakers since you've had them a few months now. The component version (db 6501) is on my short list.

Terrible bass response for a speaker this size. I don't expect much but I expect some. Even with Polyfill, it's just bad. Otherwise, they sound pretty good. :D

I'm wondering if that's just due to your enclosures. Those same speakers produce a fair amount of bass in my audiopipe. :dunno:

Check the web. Lots of similar reviews. I'll be buying new ones this month and I'll be able to give a fair comparison at that point.

Hmmm....I really want a marine grade speaker so that limits my selection a bit. I might have to splurge for the mm6501 instead. Either way I'll be going with components & utilizing a crossover. I'll be pushing them with a fair amount of power but I really don't need much bass out of them. I just need good mids and highs. I'll have a separate sub in the back for my bass.

You know...I didn't even think of looking at those. Back in the day when I thought I had to upgrade the stereo in everything I owned, MB Quart was my go to for my highs. I'll dig around and see what they have going on these days.

Thanks Jim!
