Jeep Compass Review

To sum it up, it sucks dat.

I've been up in Virginia all week taking some classes. My company rented a small compact car. When at Enterprise, they tried to stick me in a Fiat 500. That didn't last lone as I had to get something else. I could not physically fit in the clown car. So they stuck me in a Jeep Compass. This thing is tiny, I think it would fit in the bed of my truck. The 4 banger has no get up and can't get out of its own way. That even shifting thru 6 gears. Seating is not too uncomfortable, but it is mediocre. Armrest are nonexistant. Air conditioner blows like a winter storm and is probably the only positive. I can't do any burnouts, but this does take some tight corners.

I rented one in Costa Rica a few years ago, kept it long enough to drive from the airport to my wife's grandmother's house, about 30 minutes. Took it back for something else the next morning. Terrible ride, horrible visibility. There was a mysterious clunk in the back end I never figured out the source of. At idle, the 4 banger would set up some sort of sympathetic vibration which would make the whole truck rumble and shake.

Exchanged it for a Rav4, and was much happier.

My cousin has one of the previous generations I think? He's probably 6'-4" but thin as a rail.

He likes it, as far as I know.

So would I. The Forester seems to be the best of the compact SUVs, more rugged and with the best transmission setup.
