rotor is definitely shot. its fubar, actually. thats why i bought replacements.

thanks for the greasing tips... any particular type of grease you recommend? also, i was thinking about painting some molykote or somthing on the new bolts to prevent this from happening again.

as for the spinning bolts... there are no nuts on them, thanks for the vote of confidence. since i'm replacing the whole shebang i may just hack em off.

thanks guys, i'll keep a running photo journal and keep yall updated.

My guess those bolts are pressed in studs. The little groves on the back side have probably rounded off. I've never worked on a Nissan, let me see if I can find something to reference.

well, 4 of the 6 came out witout any problems, other than excessive torque to back the rusted tips through the hub threads... which is another reason im thinking i'll just replace the whole hub. but i'd appreciate anything you find or have to share. thanks!

for the record, im not being a dick, i just want to provide as much info as possible so yall can understand exactly whats goin on and chime in with help if you got any suggestions or whatever.

update: i got the other caliper off, taking the pair back to NAPA tomorrow to get my 110 bucks back (core deposit) and get some grease and stuff for tackling the hubs. forgot the camera, sorry. this weekend is the last weekend of overtime before i get switched to another boat, so the going will be pretty slow as far as progress goes. i'll try and keep yall up to date and im sure i'll have more questions along the way.

other update: gutted all 3 bedrooms in the roommate's new house today... house has too many goddamn doors. just between the 3 bedrooms, there were 7 doors. wtf? . prepping for paint and new carpeting, then trim. good news is, all those doors are getting replaced with new ones, so i've got all the tabletops i'll ever need. hooyah.

That is the locking hub housing. What is the question?

Should be very similar to the pics I added below
