Yes, I went through a lot of the older ones and was hopeful for an update of several of them to no avail lol..

A lot of the people on here were bitten by the Mod Bug a few years ago, did what they wanted, and they've pretty much left it at that. From what I've seen, the folks who have bought newer trucks haven't done near as much to them as they did to their previous ones. :dunno:

I had a 2007 GMC Sierra Denali that I did a few things to. New tires & wheels, toneau cover, bed rails, HIDs, cold air intake, tune, drop shackles, side-steps, etc. But, when I bought my 2014 Silverado, I just haven't seen fit (or had the spare funds, if I'm 100% honest) to do much to it. Heck, the main reason I even took the chin spoiler off was because the damn thing kept catching on stuff!

Are there things I'd like to do? Yeah, but that takes money and I'm currently more focused on paying off the truck (and eventually the car) than I am on making either of them look or run a certain way.

My "some day" list?

For the truck :
Lift the front a couple of inches.
"Maybe" some day pull out the crappy drop-in bed liner that came with it and have a spray-in liner done.

For the car :
Window tint.
New tires & wheels (smaller wheels, so I can get a little more sidewall for soaking up unexpected bumps).
Dinan Stage 3 tune.

As long as I have payments on both, though, I don't foresee much happening to either one.

Some of us are just flat broke and are stuck driving a 16 year old truck.

I have spent 10s of thousands on mods and posted them here on the prior 2 trucks, no exaggerations. Shit, just the DPF delete, tune, exhaust, air bags, 5th wheel etc adds up to more than most would think, but it doesn't make a very shiny picture. Still, the cash was spent, and leaves little left for sparkles :(

That, and I got bit by the Harley mod bug, and it took over for a while :jester:

Well I for one am glad to see some folks responding lol. To me it isn't about high dollar add on, I just am curious as to what's being done and or considered in the future. I've had my truck since 2010 and will continue to drive it until it turns to powder. Sometimes it's the little things that we do that add up to a different look with our vehicles. Again I am not one to trade/ sell my vehicles just because they've got some years on them. I prefer to just change what would make me want to get rid of it to begin with. Turns out in my head to be a lot cheaper then buying a brand new one. :)

That was my plan when I bought the Denali. But, it seems about every 3 years, I get the itch for a new vehicle. So, I've taken a much less proactive approach to modding them now.

I like to see things other people are doing. It just doesn't seem to be "the thing" most people are doing these days. Or, if they are, they're not posting stuff here.

Maybe they're on other forums. :dunno:

I belong to another " truck forum " and it's like a freight train activity wise lol. Trust me I get it, I was just hopeful to be on another site of interested truck builders. No worries as I will still stay here, who knows what will come of it. :)

I still check in here, and I have posted a few mods, but there aren't many folks left here. Plus, we both drive an "off" brand for most of the die hards here (this site started when a Chevy forum imploded...I drove a Chevy at the time) so we don't generally get a ton of responses in our builds. On top of it all, there are so many Facebook groups, that they have kind of taken over the "forum" aspect too.

It's still a good group of folks, so I keep coming back.
