Either way i think it will look good.

I'm thinking of raising Fred an inch or so front and rear and going to some 275-60-20s.

Not sure about that. I actually think a slightly shorter tire would look good on Fred.

Not going shorter that's for sure. I hate the tiny sidewall look and the current ride is wearing thin on me.

Haven't decided to do anything drastic though. Just pondering something different.

I think it should be perfect, Tobias. You might have a TINY bit of poke, but I don't think that's a bad thing. It definitely won't be mexi-flush.

Still don't think the BFG AT is the best option, the square shoulder on that tire doesn't look the best on the 99-02 to me, since they're so rounded everywhere else. What do you think of the Mickey Thompson ATZ?

Thanks, Dan. I am starting to think the same thing with the BFG. The more I see it, the more it just doesn't look right to me. I love those tires, they may just not fit the bill.

The MT ATZ's do look pretty nice.

I think the BFGs look OK on these trucks. Not sure where the notion that a tire has to match the "roundness" of a truck comes from. That's a new one on me. My old Fred had 265-75-16 BFGs. Back when tires looked like tires and not little ghetto rubber bands.

I really like those wheels and plan with the offset.

I have mixed emotions about the BFG ATs. I like them but don't love them.

I think there are better looking tires out there. Are you thinking about the MT ATZ Plus or regular ATZ?

Have you considered or looked at any of the Cooper offerings. Not sure my feelings on the LTZs in a 17, but I like some of there other AT tires.

I'd have to say the ATZ. The plus is a little tame.

As for the Coopers, yeah, I'm considering the Discoverer line. You are right about the LTZ, it looks a little funky with a bunch of sidewall, to me.

I may end up painting the bumpers and grille, eventually as well.

The BFG is getting long in tooth design wise. Great tire but there are some other good choices now that didn't exist back when I had that truck.

There is no tire that looks better on a GMT400, that's for sure.
