I had one of these in my Suburban. I like the fact that it has two aux inputs and you can flip the switch to toggle between the two. I just kept my slave tape deck hooked up, but I relocated it to under the center console. I put a blank tape in it to be playing when using the input. I mounted a DVD player in the dash where the slave deck was. I used the second input for my ipod.

From the instruction manual:

"Vehicles with OnStar®: When activating OnStar® with the AAI-GM9 switch to either Aux1 or Aux2, the auxiliary audio will be automatically overridden so OnStar® audio can be heard. When turning off OnStar®, Aux1 or Aux2 audio will resume."

This makes me think it might be possible to hook-up a bluetooth kit to the 2nd input. That would be awesome! Hmmmm..... :naughty:
