I am not sure if many of you have ever had any real problems with mice in your homes or Vehicles? So if your not a big fan of Cats or expensive poison, I have a cheap way to rid the little suckers for you! I have a number of Vehicals that sit around my place, and there isnt a better home for mice then a old seat! I am sure some of you know what I am talking about.Mice can really mess stuff up, wires, ect.I want to stress CAUTION, for anyone wanting to use this method of pest control. I am sure the tree huggers and animal rights people would not like what I do. They dont have to deal with the messes like I do either! I place a little used antifreeze into a shallow tin lid from a pickle jar, ect. Then place it on the floor board of the vehicle and or in the trunks of cars, and no more mice problems! I work on alot of old farm stuff for people and one thing I like to use in my shop is a 5gal.bucket of soapy bleach water to wash my hands after.Mice are dirty and masty and I dont care to get any kind of sick because of it.Just a little something I do to stay healthy.I have one other way that is kind of fun to catch mice, if you are into trapping animals. Take a 5gal. bucket, place about 6" of water in it.Then run a little peanut butter on the inside of the bucket about 2" down from the top. Then run a little lath or small piece of wood up to the top of the bucket as a ramp for the mouse to walk up. The rest is history! In the winter time you can use, used antifreeze in place of straight water. So dont anyone go beating me up, if you think my solution to mice is NOT the right way to go about it! I just know it works, and cats cost money to feed!,lol I do have 4 little WILD kittens around my place that I do take very good care of !:)

Our feline friends are a VERY violent end to a rodents life, if you ever see it in person you will feel bad for the mice.

I worked in a shop with huge rats and the shop cat got ahold of one of the rats one night and it was horrifyingly violent. That cat ate the head off. Keep your cats hungry and they will be great mousers.

I like the lid of coolant left in the floorboard, never woulda thought. Wouldn't be hard to set a lid of it under the hood somewhere when you're parking your vehicle for a few months

I would be a little careful about under the hood. Cats like to crawl up under hoods also.Mice are very destructive, and I hate them!:gunguy: good luck!:)

I hate mice but I can't have a cat in my apartment because I'm allergic. But some small dogs such as Yorkshire terriers are reported to also be good to hunt mice...

TX, where else should I be?
If you're going to do that make sure you are using the ehtylene glycol antifreeze. Because of Natural Selection in humans they are switching over to propylene glycol which is not toxic.

We had a big mouse trap that we forgot about. As they entered the trap and died their smell attracted more mice. We opened it recently with one live mouse and a pile of bones.

The mice stay away from my place because they know I like predatory fish. If I don't use them as catfish/gar bait they'll get fed to the oscar.
