How often do you wax?

I've only waxed it once so far, but I'm planning on going for twice a year; however, it is thoroughly cleaned just about every week with a final detailer. And it now gets to park in a garage every night which does help it stay shiny just a little bit longer than usual.

So considering it's a truck... and a daily driver... it's fairly well taken care of.

I wash weekly regardless of the weather. Every 3-4 months I clay/polish/glaze/wax all 3 vehicles. I have a rotation set up between them so about every month I'm polishing one of them up. I enjoy it so it's not really much of a chore for me.

I washed, clayed, and waxed the Dodge when I first got it. It was a major pain, it had probably never been waxed before, and claying takes a very long time on a truck that large.

But it SOOO worth it when you are done. Nothing compares to the smooth feeling of freshly clayed and waxed paint.

Under ideal conditions, probably 2, maybe 3 times per year.

My 99 still had extremely shiny paint (still does) and just a little rust on the rear fenders. But it also sat outside 100% of the time. Hot, cold, rain, snow.

I wax mine about every 3 to 4 months, sitting in the Port of Houston all the time the truck gets loads of crap on it. Just recently found the joy of the clay bar, if you haven't used it you should try it. Great stuff.
