The new 4.3 is in the same neighborhood as the 4.8 was... So not quite the boat anchor it used to be... Actually, it's pretty close to the first gen 5.3....

2013 is still the old 4.3

So yes, boost is the only option... On the plus side, the procharger kit for a 350 bolts on, lol

The problem in boosting is fuel. OP would have to throw in the marine intake and injectors. Rewire, throw in a fuel pump, tune, etc etc. Unless he is going all out and wants to be different, drop in a LS which requires most of the same.

For the money, start with a truck with a v8(4.8,5.3,6.0), then start throwing money.

Not trying to steer away, but it takes money to go fast. Not just in modification, but repairing what breaks in the process.

Actually, it should just be plug and play, with a 2007 - 2013 V8.... Everything else in the truck is the same...
