Backbear Performance should be able to tune you up pretty good... Air intake tube, if there's one for the 4.3, performance air filter, and exhaust.
But the tune made the biggest difference on my 4.3. Yours should have a MUCH better performance jump than mine, as I had a 2005... No direct injection, and still had a distributor.

^^^^^ What drperry said, that pretty much will give you a nice jump on power. I think that maybe longtube headers as well and gear change to accommodate the increase in power.

What do you want to spend? The best and most sensible choice is to sell and find a truck with the 5.3. By the time you do an engine swap, gearing, tuning, you could of purchased a truck with the bigger engine option.
The new 4.3 is in the same neighborhood as the 4.8 was... So not quite the boat anchor it used to be... Actually, it's pretty close to the first gen 5.3....

Werd....2014 (or is 2015) gots the new design.
You can build the 4.3 up to run like a scalded dog, but takes some money.
Ahhh, my bad, I thought it was earlier...
So yes, boost is the only option... On the plus side, the procharger kit for a 350 bolts on, lol
