I am looking to buy high beam headlights for my exploder. I can barely see the road in front of me late at night.

Is there a brand you recommend?

Thanks!

not sure what year your truck is or what it has for headlights stock, but I've always gone with Sylvania SilverStar Ultras for normal halogen bulbs. nice improvement over stock, very reasonably priced...and legal.

Those were the ones I was thinking of buying.

My suv is a 2004 and yes it has the org heads.

PIAA is what I would get. (and what I have) Maybe SilverStars got better, but the 6 sets I bought from around 2002-2008 lasted maybe 3 months. The PIAA Ultra Whites I put in the last truck were still shining at 60K on them when I sold the truck

I agree. I have used the Silver Stars as well and they did not last long at all. For the price I would hope to get at least a year out of them but never did. Went back to stock for now but will try the PIAA's

Eat more carrots? :D

How are the lenses? I think your truck has plastic lenses which can haze over. Doesn't matter what bulb you have if the light's getting blocked. :p There are kits for polishing headlights, it's not too hard to do, but be sure to protect the lens afterwards, otherwise the UV rays will fog them up again.

My auto body shop just add oil into my truck. They also were going to clean my headlights but they weren't dirty.

Are these lights that you all mentioned above illegal? Because my auto body shop won't install them for me. :fume:

If a shop won't put them in for you, they're probably just pissed you didn't pay their markup price on buying through them, lol.
