don`t get the slim ballast, they are not very robust, the raptor kits are a hell of a lot tougher, i originally bought the slims and they lasted a week, raptors have been going strong. no need for the relay kit unless you run into problems with them lighting the od time, i just got it to be safe. 55w are brighter white in kalvin when comparing the same (ex. a 55w 6000k will be more white than a 35w 6000k)

this is for your chevy? what color were you going to get? i recommend 4000-5000k in 55w, i have the 4500k, very white. the more blue the less usefull the light is under dark/wet road conditions, i need that for my work truck as i drive alot in every weather condition. :)

if you want bluer go 6000k, i wouldn`t recommend antyhtin higher then that as they are fairly useless light output. my bro put on 8000k lows and highs in his 08 chevy and he said they don`t light up shit on dark road surfaces, they just looked cool. :D

yes for my chevy. driving conditions right now are mostly wet. i'm getting them off the DDM website as many have suggested. thought to go w/55w 6000K. thanks for your input on the slim ballast type, i'll go ahead w/the raptor like yourself and others have. seems as they have proved themselves according to you all. when you say the relay kit, you are talking about the wiring harness? or the error code eliminator that is an option on the ddm website? i figured the same as you, getting the wiring kit just to be safer, then sorrier. this error code kit thing is throwing me off. no one has mentioned it, so i'm thinking not needed.
