Help! Tapping my frame for sidesteps but don't know if it will hold.

Two of these tapped into 1/8 frame strong enough to hold 600lbs?

Hey guys I have a 05 Lexus GX470. It's lifted and on some nice tires . The factory side ssteps are gone and while it looks great , the wife complains and sometimes I drive other individuals around that cant get in easily. So I bought Amp research powered sidesteps made for a 4runner. The holes don't line up so I had to tap into my frame. I'm worried that it's not enough to hold though since the frame is only 1/8 " steel. The brackets for the steps are aluminumaluminum , so welding is out. They may be strong enough , but I don't want to risk someone else getting hurt. The steps are rated to hold 600LBS. Do you think these two brackets each step are eniught to support 600lbs with two tapped 8mm bolts with 1.25 mm thread ?

If not, any ideas to reinforce?

I would use 8mm thread inserts. I would not tap 1/8" of rail, and expect it to hold.
