This bugs the hell out of me, stopping at the mall after work the other day to do some Christmas shopping, I decide to head for the roof top parking because the spots are larger and less people park there. I used to park my car there but never paid attention to any height bar since it was a lowered cobalt lol

When I go around to head to the roof top, i see a height bar 6'8 I believe, being that I don't know my trucks height I decided not to risk it. Once at the mall i decided to walk out to the rooftop to see if there was something overhanging to cause them to put that bar there. I couldn't find a damn thing, is there any other reason why they have a height restriction on a roof where the closest thing to your roof is the clouds?

They probably have a short spot somewhere on one of the ramps and just posted it to keep trucks out of the top.:dunno:

just one wide ramp up and down from the roof parking and the ramp has no roof to it.

Probably to keep bigger (and heavier) trucks off the roof. :dunno:

Yep. Limit the number of spots to reduce weight. Its all engineering. Of course, those damn civils use different math and logic than everybody else.

Could also be to keep "high profile" vehicles off the roof in case of high winds.

It's atleast 6'6 because I quickly measured it one day to see If it could fit in a car wash that had a max of 7' so once I seen it wasn't close i stopped measured but it's around the 6'6 area
