That's a lot of damage.. If it were me making the decision, I'd probably let it go and get something newer.. :dunno:

Good luck with your decision, though!

I'd go the new route. That's way too much headache for me.

You betcha
Like i said it could be rebuilt and be even better

lol...I'm about 99% sure the frame IS bent after that. My old 2000 sierra took a similar hit in winter time to a much smaller tree and it bent the frame enough to spend 2 weeks on the frame machine. And I drove that vehicle home after the accident.
The truck will never be the same even if u spend a lot of money rebuilding it. Mine only had about 6,000 in damage and was rebuilt to look brand new, but it really was never the same again.

First off I'm glad you are safe and you have to remember that health comes first, vehicles come and go. The good thing is you have full coverage and insurance is gonna pay for the truck. I know how hard it is to look at your truck all mangled but be thankful it kept you safe. I have to see my f150 everyday when I come into work so I know how you feel. By the looks of the pics it looks like it would be a better choice to start over with a new truck. I know you dont want to hear it, sorry.

Wait and see what the offer is. As I recall, you had a ton of miles on her, and were looking for a new truck.

I would move on. I have been in your spot before, at your age.

Me too. I had an old guy pull out in front of me, and I wrecked the first vehicle I bought myself (2nd vehicle I drove). It was almost totaled, as a matter of fact, the actual repairs exceeded the total loss value, but they didn't know until too late. Insurance co. had it fixed, it looked like brand new, BUT it never was right to drive again. I kept having all these little problems with it, and took it back to the shop numerous times to have them work on stuff, but it just wasn't right. I ended up trading it off about 8 months later at a loss and moved on.

I know it is rough seeing your first truck this way, but take the opportunity and move onward and upward. Remember the good times you had with it, but get something that will continue to give you good times into the future instead of repairing one that may turn out to be a money pit into the future. Just my $.02
