No way would I ever run 15,000 miles without changing the oil...
But that's just me... I always kinda figured an oil change was cheaper than a new engine... :dunno:

How long has that oil been in there? If it sat for months, it had to have been in there for quite some time to have over 14K miles on it.

it was changed 2 months before I went into rehab, it was used by my buddy until then as my lawn company truck, and driven to and from mt. morris michigan, (1hr, each way, ? miles) then here as my go to vehicle until I got the ricer. It was easily 12k before it sat, then me driving it afterward..

sorry guys, i'll try to do better and not destroy my pickup. :(

Ok put it up on the lift...we checked all the heat shields, the mounts, the exhaust ect..(it has a plastic fan) ...changed oil, filter, gas filter, checked filled tranny, and it stopped because it was warm and happy.....

Until it got cold again, then its right back--- like a screw driver being pushed into a spinning metal fan blade, tink tink tink tink...especially when starting to pull off, lightly touching the gas to go. :fume:

My other uncle says it has done it on his truck (2002 silverado) for 6 years or so.. he said dealership thought he was crazy, I'm not crazy either..:dunno:
