Rather than a front wheel chock and straps (or just straps) you mount a base onto the floor of the trailer that has a capture system for a bar. You mount that bar on the bike (temporarily for travel, it's quick release) then you just ride the bike into the mount and it locks it down.
They got a real good test on the ride home yesterday. A bridge we went over on I91 in Massachusetts was a complete shit show, and i didn't see it til too late. I bounced the trailer enough that I pulled over to double check the bikes in the back after....they hadn't moved a LICK.
