Only got ~600 miles on her so far, but we like it. All in-town miles, we have yet to take it on a trip. The dogs do great in it. The Mastiff can stand up straight, it is just as big as the Tahoe in the back.
The mileage is awesome! Averaging 16 in town! Its the AFMz...

I am going to get my free oil change from GM, and then I get one more from the dealer, and then switch to Amsoil. I am concerned that these one likely beat up the oil just as bad as the prior model

I caught her driving the Tahoe last week. She still likes that thing, and won't let me get rid of it. I told her I am cannibalizing it for a hot rod, or a rock crawler project :jester:

I want to say that the 3.6 still is hard on the oil. Only true way to tell is to pull a sample out at 5k after you have some miles on it and go from there.

Ours was hard on the oil more so because we do a lot of stop and go short trips, like less than 5 miles one way short trips. It saw highway but not enough to off set the bad short trips.

You can get a sample kit from AMSOIL for $27 from Oil Analyzers. Prepaid mail. Just fill bottle, fill out form, and put it in the mail.

Yeah, I think I will do the sample on the 2nd change. I have learned not to pull samples on the factory fill...it's scary!

I found 6 quarts of OE 5w30 I had left over from the Tahoe...I may give in, and just switch it over. I just want to use up my freebies. Dealer said they will put in Mobil One on both oil changed for an extra 30 bones.

Let them change it out and use the AC Delco dexos 1 oil. That is what I'm doing with the Burb. I changed the oil out at 500 miles, then again at 1,500 miles and then had the dealer change it when it got to 7k miles. I will have them change it again at 5k miles and then switch it over the AMSOIL. That way the engine is good and flushed out and my next UOA should be a good starting point from there.

I can't see not using the free oil changes, especially since AC Delco oil has gone full synthetic now and I have seen a few UOA's on it and it did really well. Now if you have a PITA dealer that you don't like that might be a different story. Mine treats me very well. :) Only charged me $90 to do a full ATF fluid exchange on the Burb with me giving them the AMSOIL ATL.

It's been a change. We have had nothing but full frame GMs since 1994. We both raise the seats as high as we can to feel normal :jester:

The newer Acadia's look better... But I was more comfortable in the first generation, lol. They didn't have that small car feel.

We just put >300 miles on her 16 Enclave over Easter weekend. I really enjoy driving that thing. It's quiet, smooth, and :quote: GM luxurious :quote:

It wouldn't replace my truck, but it's great for it's intended purpose :pimp:
