Also...don't let size fool you the Acadia had more interior cargo room than the Tahoes of those years too...we were shopping both![]()
Yep we looked at new Tahoes today, too.
Screw it, I ordered a maxed out SLT2 Acadia in Red
Momma did not like the Denali wood![]()
Yeah, Susan didn't like the Denali Acadia either. We loved our SLT2. Pretty much had everything but NAV. Which we use our phones anyway.
Now the Burb is a different story. LTZ basically comes with everything so we got NAV and the Bluray player second and third row. Also to get the AC seats we had to get the LTZ, it wasn't offered on anything else. GM knows how to get you into an upper model.
Nice color choice!![]()
Thanks to all, I appreciate it.
Nick, I assume the same rules apply, as far as you know, on the oil changes? I can't see anywhere that there are any design changes on the engine.
Yes, they didn't change much on the engine design. I would keep it at 5k oil changes. You might want to do a UOA once you get about 15k on it to see how it is doing. Anything earlier is a waste with break-in materials still in there.
I changed the Burb out at 500 miles, then again when it was at 2k. I usually do it again at 5k but I had found some Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0w-20 for a $1 a qt and used it and ran the OLM down to 3% and it was at 7,300 miles. Had the dealer do the one of two free oil changes and tire rotations then. Will take it back again at 5k to have my last oil change and tire rotation, then move it on over to AMSOIL Signature Series 0w-20.
I like that it takes 2 gallons. Easy peezy, just dump in two gallon jugs of 0w-20 and done. No qts to mess with.
