NASCAR seems to be really out of touch with what the real world thinks of their sport. They are losing fans right and left and mostly, the fans agree with the drivers. Listen to the drivers, stop fining them for disagreeing with your obviously stellar plan.

This is the story I'm curious about :

Earlier this year, Newman was fined $50,000 for an incident with Juan Montoya. NASCAR has refused to discuss the fine or what happened with Montoya to earn Newman the penalty.

What'd Newman do to Montoya??

I agree that NASCAR is too touchy about what guys say about 'em. Their definition of "actions detrimental to the sport" seems awfully PMS'y at times..

Damn, I bet I'm getting fined now.....
